State police at Frackville report on domestics, drugs

State police at Frackville report on the following incidents:

• Police were summoned to an incident on Lower Road in Walker Township at 6:15 p.m. Dec. 19, and arrested a Tamaqua man, committing him to jail, and filing charges against a woman too.

The 40-year-old man was arraigned on charges of assault, causing bodily injuries, and incarcerated at the Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville, while the woman had charges filed against her in district court.

Police said they were involved in an argument that turned physical.

• Police charged a 37-year-old Kline Township man with harassment by physical contact after they were called to a domestic incident at 2:18 p.m. Dec. 29 along the Haddock Road in Kline Township.

Police said the victim is a 34-year-old McAdoo woman who the arrestee grabbed and pushed on numerous occasions.

• A 54-year-old Frackville woman was arrested on drug possession charges after police made contact with her at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 24 on Altamont Boulevard in West Mahanoy Township.

Police said the woman was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine and related paraphernalia.

Police also learned the woman was wanted on a bench warrant issued in Schuylkill County.

The woman was committed to the Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville.

Names have not been released in these incidents.

• Police charged Rory Hamilton, 40, of Tuscarora, and Stephanie Yalsovec, 29, of Pottsville, after an incident at 10:26 p.m. Dec. 22 on Mulberry Street in Tuscarora.

Police said they were called to investigate an assault and the investigation revealed a 28-year-old man from Schuylkill Haven was struck in the head by the defendants’ fists.

• A traffic stop at 9:11 p.m. Dec. 28 in the 1100 block of West Centre Street in Mahanoy Township resulted in the driver being taken to jail.

Police said after the 2005 Honda Accord was stopped for a Motor Vehicle Code violation, they found the suspect to be in possession of drugs and related contraband. Police also learned the suspect has a bench warrant out for an arrest with the Pottsville Detective’s Office, resulting in his incarceration. His name was not released.
