Mahoning Township supervisors are shy one board member amid the resignation of its chairman.

Supervisors at its end-of-year meeting Wednesday afternoon accepted the resignation of board Chairman Bruce Steigerwalt.

Steigerwalt’s resignation was verbally tendered earlier in December.

The board is scheduled to holds its reorganization meeting today.

At that time, two new supervisors, Deborah McGowan and Ronald Reeser, are set to join the board.

They will replace outgoing supervisors David Pollock and Myron “Zeke” Blahy.
