Franklin Township supervisors took the following action last Tuesday:

• Adopted a resolution adding the township police department to enforce the stormwater management plan ordinance.

• Agreed to have the police officer enforce the stormwater ordinance regarding Rock Street.

• Approved a request from officer Frank Buonaiuto for Act 17 regarding COVID-19.

• Retroactively approved police officer David Roberts to attend basic certification classes held at Penn State Campus Nov. 16-18.

• Approved the extension of the Declaration of Disaster regarding COVID-19 until March.

• Announced a change in garbage collection pickup: Friday, Dec. 31 collection will be Thursday, Dec. 30.

• Announced that Christmas trees may be disposed of at the Phifer Ice Dam Park using the Penn Street entrance beginning Sunday, Dec. 26.

• Announced the reorganization meeting will be at 5 p.m. Jan. 3, with the regular monthly meeting of the board of supervisors to begin at 6 p.m.
