Three people died in a two vehicle crash in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County Friday.

State Police at Fern Ridge say the 7:27 p.m. crash happened on Route 903 at the intersection of Rhododendron Road.

Police say the area was not illuminated.

When police arrived, all three people were deceased, the 30-year old male driver and a passenger in the first vehicle, and the 17-year-old male driver of the second one. Additional information was not provided.

Carbon County Coroner Robert Miller did not have the names of the deceased. Autopsies are scheduled Monday at Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest, Allentown.
