ALPHA announced

Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic church has announced that the church is beginning the program with dinner at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 11.

Afterward, whoever wants to continue will meet the next 11 weeks with a retreat on March 4 and 5.

But there is no obligation to continue. To register, call the church office at 610-681-6137.

ALPHA is a place to connect with other people who are open to exploring life, faith and meaning. Each session includes a time to connect with others - often over a free meal - hear a short talk on an element of the Christian faith, and then a chance for each person to share their own questions with the group.

Groups meet

McMichaels UMC hosts both Serenity Narcotics Anonymous and AA. The former meets every Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the church. The meeting is open to all who need to talk and fellowship with those who understand what you are experiencing and you can get the help you need and desire to overcome your problem. The meeting is free and confidential.

AA will be meeting every Wednesday at noon and every Saturday at 6:30 p.m. If you require assistance with this issue, please join one or both of these meetings and receive the help you are seeking.

You will be gathering with others who understand. The meetings are free and confidential.
