U.S. Rep. Matt Cartwright, PA-8th District, has tested positive for COVID-19.

He attended a groundbreaking ceremony in Luzerne County Friday and felt ill afterwards.

“He tested positive on Saturday,” his Communications Director Colleen Eagen Gerrity said.

She said the senator is double vaccinated. He is experiencing flu-like symptom, but is feeling much better than he was. He is quarantining at home, she said.

The 8th District includes Monroe County.
