Lehighton Area School District is looking for someone to fill an open seat on the Carbon County Area Vocational Technical School Authority.

The open seat carries with it a five-year term.

LASD officials said the representative does not have to be a school board member. The only requirement is that the individual lives in the district.

Authority meetings are not held monthly, district officials said, but instead are convened on an as-needed basis.

During last week’s Lehighton school board meeting, the appointment was tabled.
