A woman was injured Wednesday afternoon in a crash in East Penn Township.
The incident occurred just after 3 p.m. as she was traveling west on Route 895.
The woman lost control on a slight left curve in the road, entering the right berm and traveling along an embankment where the vehicle came to rest on its side.
Members of the East Penn fire company helped to extricate the woman from the wreckage. East Penn fire police maintained traffic control at the scene.
The victim was treated at the scene by Lehighton paramedics before being transported to a nearby trauma center.
State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident.
