State police respond to Monroe County incidents

State police at Stroudsburg reported on the following incidents:

• On Oct. 27 at 1:51 p.m. troopers responded to the 900 block of Ballfield Lane, in Hamilton Township, to investigate a dog deceased on the roadway. A further investigation revealed that the dog belonged to Kari Molina, 37, of Saylorsburg, who was previously cited for failure to confine her dog. She was issued a citation under the crimes code for cruelty to animals.

• On Dec. 3 at 2:24 p.m. troopers were dispatched to Oak Grove and Milford roads, in Middle Smithfield Township, for a dispute. The investigation revealed that during an argument Megan Vinson, 44, of Pottsville, and Marc Stoss, 51, of Easton, pushed each other. Both were issued citations for harassment - physical contact.

• Police are investigating a report of fraudulent checks incident.

Troopers said they received a complaint from Monroe County Food Systems Inc., of Marshalls Creek, of multiple fraudulent checks being made out to unknown people on its account. Troopers said $3,268.55 worth of checks were issued. The investigation is continuing.
