PBS39 nominated for nine awards

The National Educational Telecommunications Association announced finalists for the 53rd Annual Public Media Awards, with PBS39 receiving nine finalist nominations:

Community engagement category: Smart Sacks (Kids & Family), Summer Series (Kids & Family), Juneteenth LV (local project); Content, Articulate with Jim Cotter, Arts & Entertainment; Education, Lehigh Valley Reads (Educational Resources for the Community), PSU Microcredentialing (Teacher Professional Learning); Marketing & Communications: Annual Report 2020 (Annual Report), Community Update on Coronavirus (Social Media), Athlete of the Year Award (Special Event)

Each year, the Public Media Awards honor the work of public media stations in community engagement, content, education, marketing/communications, and overall excellence. The 53rd Annual Public Media Awards will be presented on Jan. 25, 2022, during the 2022 NETA Conference.
