December 11, 1964 - Jack Kmetz scores a game-high 25 points and also collects 12 rebounds to power Jim Thorpe to a 74-46 victory over rival Lehighton. Kmetz tallies 10 of his points in the opening quarter as the Olympians, coached by Tony Romano, jump out to a narrow lead. Bobby Brown hits for eight of his 12 points in the second period, while Kmetz adds seven more, to extend Thorpe’s advantage to 12 points by halftime. A 27-point third frame puts the game out of reach. Keith Miller contributes eight points and 11 rebounds, while Joe Morgan chips in with nine points. The Indians receive a team-high 12 points from Craig Hofford.
