Santa’s been making his rounds in various local towns the past two weekends, getting wish lists from boys and girls. Sunday night he made a stop in Summit Hill.
A large turnout of youngsters greeted him as he arrived by firetruck at Ludlow Park.
The visit was the annual “Christmas on the Hill,” coordinated by the Summit Hill Recreation Commission.
Kathy Gieniec, chairman, said she was pleased with the turnout and happy that the weather cooperated.
Santa was brought to the event by the Diligence Fire Company of Summit Hill. He rode in the jump seat of the fire company’s pumper.
He then went to the gazebo of Ludlow Park where he patiently met with every youngster who attended. He also offered a treat to each child and posed for photos.
Members of the commission served hot chocolate and cookies to those in attendance. Carlin and Quinn Crampsie helped give out cookies.
Borough resident Kathleen Crampsie led the singing of Christmas carols.
Mayor-elect Jeffrey Szczecina assisted members of the commission during Santa’s visit.
