Lehighton State Police report on area crashes

State police at Lehighton report on two area crashes:

• Kathleen A. Knemoller, 62, of Albrightsville, was not injured in a one-vehicle crash at 12:56 p.m. Nov. 11 on Route 903 in Penn Forest Township.

Police said she was driving a 2007 Saturn Ion southbound when she lost control of the vehicle, striking the guide rail on the right shoulder of the road. The car traveled forward, striking the guide rail a second time before coming to rest facing east in the travel lane.

The car was towed from the scene.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 8:35 a.m. Nov. 2 on Route 115 in Ross Township.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said it happened when a 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander operated by Christine Higgins, 41, of Gilbert, which was southbound at the time, failed to stop for a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox that was stopped due to traffic. The Equinox was driven by Gina J. Kluge, 27, of Saylorsburg.

Police said the Outlander struck the Equinox and both vehicles came to rest facing south in the travel lane.

The Outlander needed to be towed from the scene.
