November 26, 1996 - Panther Valley’s school board hires Tom Klementovic as its new head baseball coach. Klementovic, a native of Lansford, replaces John Schreiner, who led the Panthers to a Schuylkill League Division 3 title in 1995. The new mentor, who graduated from PV in 1971 and played four seasons for the Panthers and also played for the Tamaqua Travelers, will guide the program for five years and register 44 wins.
