A Monroe County man has been charged with sexual assault counts.

State police at Stroudsburg said Jeronimo Maisonet, 45, of Middle Smithfield Township, was charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor and corruption of minors.

According to troopers, the arrest stems from an investigation conducted in 2018 to 2019, where it is alleged that Maisonet engaged in oral sex with a 14-year-old boy at his residence.

Maisonet is currently an inmate in the county prison in Snydersville after an arrest on Nov. 7 related to child sexual abuse charges of a then 14-year-old girl at the Church of God - Holy Ground, in Middle Smithfield Township.

State police said they believe there are other minor children who may have been victimized by Maisonet and is requesting that anyone with additional information and/or victims to contact them at 570-619-6800.
