Franklin Township supervisors took the following action at Tuesday’s meeting:

• On a 2-0 vote, with one abstention, authorized Girard Pension Services as trustee to adjust eligible retired police officer Thomas Beltz’s Cost of Living Adjustments at a rate of 5.9%, effective Jan. 1, 2022. Supervisor Barbara Beltz abstained.

• Approved Girard Pension Services to pay the invoice in the amount of $3,950 received for the preparation of the Jan. 1, 2021, Actuarial Valuation and Report, along with the preparation of the Act 205 Form out of the Police Pension Fund.

• Authorized the township secretary to advertise the board’s intent to hire independent auditors to audit all of the township’s 2021 accounts.

• Approved the request from Raising The House for the Franklin Township Fire Police to assist with traffic control during the Lights at the Lake located at the Mauch Chunk Lake Park during December.
