A Carbon County driver was injured in a one-vehicle crash that at 9:07 Nov. 12 along Route 443 (Clamtown Road), in East Brunswick Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Heather L. Napoli, 44, of Jim Thorpe, was driving a 2011 Dodge Caliber westbound and said that she swerved her vehicle in an attempt to avoid hitting a deer on the road in front of her.

The Dodge went onto the berm and the undercarriage of the vehicle made minimal impact with a dirt embankment.

Napoli was taken to St. Luke’s-Miners Campus in Coaldale, for treatment of injuries.

The vehicle sustained minor damages and was driven from the scene.

New Ringgold Fire Company volunteers assisted at the scene.
