Dubosky receives weekly honor

Panther Valley graduate Erika Dubosky was recently recognized by the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) for her performance in the Chestnut Hill College Women’s Volleyball team’s final three gamers of the 2021 season.

The 2020 Times News Volleyball Player of the Year was named the CACC Women’s Volleyball Rookie of the Week.

For Dubosky, it marks her second CACC rookie of the Week honors this season.

Dubosky recorded 28 kills in the Griffins three matches last week, while hitting .271. The freshman hitter also notched 26 digs and had three blocks.

In Chestnut Hill’s final game of the season, Dubosky recorded a game- high 12 kills without an attack error, hitting .600 on the afternoon.

She is just the third player in program history to hit .600 or better in a single match.

Dubosky finished the season with 225 kills and 327 digs. She had a season- high 15 kills on Oct. 23 against Felician, finishing with 17 points, and recorded 30 digs on Oct. 19 against Bloomsburg.

She had three aces Sept. 10 against Franklin Pierce, and two assists Nov. 10 against USciences.

The Griffins finished the season with an 8-17 overall record, and a 5-13 mark in CACC games.
