November 16, 1935 - Mike Holovak’s short touchdown run in the third quarter is the game’s only score as Lansford holds off Mauch Chunk Catholic for a 6-0 victory. Holovak starts the drive soon after the halftime break when he breaks free for a 35-yard run. Holovak, “Muggy” Oriel and Joe Sniscak take turns gaining yardage to get the Panthers, coached by Ken Millen, into the red zone. A couple more Holovak carries sets up his 1-yard TD run. Holovak also intercepts a pass to end a scoring threat for Chunk Catholic.
