A Schuylkill County driver led police on a chase but he was eventually stopped and charged.

State police at Reading said on Nov. 11 at 12:54 a.m. Kutztown borough police attempted to stop a 2003 GMC Sierra truck along Noble Street for traffic violation. The driver refused to stop and a pursuit began. The pursuit was called off by Kutztown police but was later pickup by troopers after they observed more traffic violations by the suspect driver.

The pursuit continued for about 16 minutes and ended at 1397 Pottsville Pike (Route 61), in Perry Township, Berks County, following a successful PIT maneuver.

The driver was identified as Robert Schuld, 34, of New Ringgold. He was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence and other counts. No major injuries were reported in the incident.
