Incidents investigated

State police at Bethlehem reported on the following incidents:

• On Nov. 7 at 3:30 a.m. someone gained entry to a shed on the property on the 6000 block of Kaylor Court in Slatington, Washington Township, and removed two all-terrain vehicles and one motor dirt bike.

The two ATVs were loaded into the bed of a dark-colored pickup truck, which fled the area southbound. The dirt bike was left on nearby property and recovered by the victim.

The missing ATVs were described as a 2019 Yamaha and a 2003 Yamaha, both red and black.

Anyone with information is asked to call troopers at 610-861-2026.

• Troopers said they are investigating an incident reported on Oct. 27 at 12:29 a.m. Troopers said the ex-wife of a 47-year-old man from Palmerton, sold various items belonging to him without his permission. Troopers said the woman took advantage of the victim’s incarceration status to list items for sale with intention to deprive him of the money.

Items have a total value of $23,850. Among the items were a John Deere backhoe, John Deere lawn mower, a muzzle loader gun, and Craftsman tool boxes and a tool cabinet.

The investigation is continuing.

• Troopers said on Nov. 7 at 11:31 p.m. they responded to 2921 Welshtown Road in Washington Township, for a report of an assault. It was determined that Aaron Smith, 25, of Slatington, entered the residence of a 54-year-old man from Tatamy, unwelcomed, and engaged in a fight with the victim. The victim had a cut on his left hand.

Charges of burglary, simple assault and harassment were filed against Smith.

• A Slatington woman is facing charges following an incident that occurred at 6:34 p.m. on Nov. 9.

State police at Bethlehem said troopers responded to 3888 Main St., Washington Township, for a report of a dispute. It was learned that Dana Freed, 50, and two other women, ages 50 and 29, also of Slatington, engaged in a verbal argument regarding kitchenware. Freed then shoved both women to the ground.

Freed struck the 50-year-old in the left eye with a closed fist causing swelling to the eye. When the 29-year-old attempted to break up the fight, Freed bit her on a finger causing a small cut to the left hand.

Freed was issued two citations for harassment - physical contact.

• An Uber driver and a passenger were both cited following an incident that occurred on Oct. 30 at 10:53 p.m.

Troopers responded to Mountain Road at Church Road in Heidelberg Township, Lehigh County, to assist emergency medical services with a woman who was involved in a physical altercation with an Uber driver. The female was identified as Cindy Lou Simpson, 42, of Germansville, and the driver was identified as Racye Miller, 58, of Lehighton.

Troopers determined that the two engaged in a fight after an argument. Miller and Simpson punched and shoved each other and each sustained suspected minor injuries.

Troopers said as a result Miller and Simpson were both cited for harassment - physical contact.

• Troopers also reported on a domestic incident in which both parties were cited. It occurred on Oct. 25 at 12:50 p.m. at 3623 Oak Ridge Drive in Washington Township, Lehigh County. Troopers responded to the location for a report of a domestic disturbance. On scene the two parties involved, identified as Austin Morley, 19, and Eric Morley, 43, both of Slatington, were separated from an apparent altercation.

Both were issued citations for harassment - physical contact.
