State Police at Lehighton

State police at Lehighton report on the following cases:

• Benjamin F. Williams, 36, of Lehighton, was taken into custody without incident at 12:51 p.m. Oct. 5 after an incident at 340 Stagecoach Road West in Towamensing Township.

Police said he violated a protection from abuse order.

• Thomas Zellers, 38, of Kunkletown, was charged for an incident on Sept. 29 at 5:17 p.m. in the 300 block of Lower Middle Creek Road, in Polk Township. The victim being a 36-year-old woman from Kunkletown.

• A 45-year-old Bethlehem man was charged with assault with bodily harm by state police at the Lehighton barracks after an incident at 12:29 a.m. Oct. 23 along Lake Road in Ross Township.

• A 45-year-old woman from Saylorsburg reported she sustained physical injuries in a domestic dispute. The man fled the residence.

• A 60-year-old Saylorsburg woman is the victim of an identity theft/theft by deception incident that was reported at 3:32 p.m. Oct. 7.

The woman, who lives along Lobach Lane in Eldred Township, said someone opened an unemployment compensation account using her personal information without authorization to do so.

• In a second report, John Marino, 46, of Pearson Lane, Saylorsburg, Ross Township, told police at 9 a.m. Oct. 28 that a claim for unemployment benefits was filed in his name.

• A 43-year-old Allentown man will be arrested following an incident at 4:40 a.m. Oct. 23 at a residence along Interchange Road in Franklin Township.

Police said the man entered the residence and physically assaulted two people, a 27-year-old man from Bayonne, New Jersey, and a 50-year-old man from Lehighton.

Police did not indicate what charges the man will face but, in addition to the assault having taken place, they are listing the incident as a burglary.
