State police at Fern Ridge

State police at Fern Ridge release information on the following cases:

• Police were summoned to a property along Grand Mesa Drive in Chestnuthill Township to investigate a criminal mischief incident that happened between 6 p.m. Oct. 5 and 6 p.m. Oct. 10.

Police said a 38-year-old Effort man reported someone damaged the window screen at his home. The damage is estimated to be $100.

• A 52-year-old woman from Albrightsville was cited for false alarms/dialing devices after an incident at 2:25 a.m. Oct. 23.

Police said five false alarms happened within 12 months at the residence on Brittany Drive, Penn Forest Township.

• Police said the driver of a 2007 Volkswagen damaged a mailbox on Hill Road in Chestnuthill Township. The driver agreed to pay $225 for the damaged mailbox and wooden post.

• An unknown vehicle sideswiped a 2017 Toyota Sienna at 7:19 p.m. Oct, 18 on Jonas Road in Chestnuthill Township.

Police said the Sienna was driven northbound by Kieran Adair, 46, of Blakeslee when the unknown vehicle entered its lane of travel, sideswiped the front and rear passenger doors and fled the scene westbound on Jonas Road.

Adair was not injured.

• A 27-year-old East Stroudsburg man is facing charges of stalking/harassing after an incident at 12:31 p.m. Sept. 26 along Fawn Lane in Jackson Township. A 26-year-old woman from Stroudsburg summoned police because of an unwanted text message she received.

Police said the man was charged after police learned he was ordered by the court not to attempt to contact the victim.

• A 46-year-old White Haven man reported a theft by deception/credit-ATM card incident at 1:33 p.m. Sept. 22. He said used his debit card without authorization to make a purchase of $1.76 at the Dollar General Store in Freeland.

• On Oct. 16 at 3:08 p.m. a 37-year-old Albrightsville woman reported an unauthorized charge on her credit card, which occurred on Oct. 13 at an ATM located at the Jim Thorpe National Bank branch located off Route 903 in Penn Forest Township. The suspect withdrew $250 from the ATM. The woman said she was unsure of when the credit card was stolen. Troopers said no video footage of the transaction was available.

• On Nov. 6 at 6:38 p.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2005 Toyota Camry along Long Mountain Road in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County. The driver, Nellie Berrios, 57, of Kunkletown, submitted to an alcohol test and was then placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. Charges are pending.

• On Nov. 4 at 7:15 p.m. troopers responded to the 100 block of Buffalo Lane, in Chestnuthill Township, for a report of a disturbance. They said an 18-year-old woman from Wind Gap showed up at the location and threatened a 65-year-old woman from Saylorsburg. The teen, who troopers declined to identify, was cited for harassment - physical contact.
