Flood advisory issued for this morning

The National Weather Service has announced a flood advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. today.

Minor flooding is possible in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

Rainfall totals as high as 1.0 to 1.5 inches are expected.

Drains blocked by leaves and other debris will result in additional flooding of roadways and areas of

drainage.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Here is the latest forecast:

Today: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 11 a.m., then a chance of showers between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. High near 61. South wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 37. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Saturday: A chance of showers, mainly after 10 a.m. Increasing clouds, with a high near 52. North wind 5 to 15 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 30. West wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 45. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Sunday Night: A slight chance of rain showers before 1 a.m., then a slight chance of rain and snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 32. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Monday: Partly sunny, with a high near 45.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 30.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 45.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 30.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 52.
