Jewelry, catalytic converters thefts

State police at Schuylkill Haven report the following thefts:

• Nearly $44,000 worth of jewelry was taken from a Schuylkill County residence. Troopers said on Sept. 27 at 8 a.m. they responded to a home along Grist Mill Road in West Brunswick Township for a theft of jewelry worth $44,793. Items included a lady’s Rolex watch and a diamond engagement ring valued at $9,995.

• On Oct. 22 at 9:35 a.m. troopers were dispatched to Suedberg Road in Pine Grove Township for a theft report. A 36-year-old man from Schuylkill Haven and a 28-year-old man from Nesquehoning, reported two catalytic converters and a license plate were stolen from a 2000 Ford and a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 truck.

• Troopers said on Oct. 22 at 7:48 p.m. they were dispatched to South Tremont Street in Tremont Township for a report of multiple converters being cut off vehicles. Taken were converters from three vehicles with a total value of $2,550. Anyone with information is asked to call 570-754-4600.
