Schuylkill Township supervisors

The following items were discussed or approved at Schuylkill Township’s November meeting last Monday:

• “Hometown Hero Flags” are being considered. The board agreed to look into options to having residents donate to raise money, but said they aren’t sure how to go about that so more information will be available in the near future.

• Secretary Denise Hill is researching interest rates with accounts such as CACL, Wells Fargo and M&T Bank. The board agreed she needed more time to find out the agreements for each account and this item was tabled for next month.

• Ordinance 2021-2 appointed Hill as a contact for Berkheimer.

• AmTrust W/C proposal for Schuylkill Township Volunteer Fire Department to cover Nov. 10, 2021, to Nov. 10, 2022. The bill is for $7,960.

• AmTrust bill from May 2021 from audit of $2,130 for vehicles and equipment also was approved.

• Approved donating $500 to the Tamaqua Public Library as the annual contribution to the library.
