November 6, 1982 - Panther Valley wins its third consecutive District 11 volleyball title by sweeping Williams Valley in three games. Karen Barna registers four aces during an eight-point run in the first game to get the Panthers, coached by Anita Herman, off to a fast start. Mary Paluck also contributed three kills in the opening set. Joanne Paluck comes through with eight kills in the second game, while Gina Uher adds five. Uher is strong at the net in the third game with three more kills, while Lisa Evans delivers five aces to help complete the sweep.
