Patriotic Concert

Calvary Evangelical United Methodist Church will host a patriotic concert in honor of Veterans Day on Nov. 14 at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is invited.

Veterans Day Parade

The Veterans Day Parade is on Nov. 6 at 10 a.m. The Tamaqua American Legion Post 173 will once again sponsor the parade and invite all veterans, businesses, fire companies, church groups, clubs and organizations to participate in the parade.

Andreas VFW

Andreas VFW Post 5069 will meet at the West Penn Township annex on Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. U.S. flags will be given to all paid up members at all meetings until the end of 2021. A Veterans Day breakfast will be held at the Mason Jar Restaurant on Nov. 13 at 10 a.m. Paid members and one guest are invited.

Pumpkin roll sale

St. John Lutheran Church, Tamaqua, is taking orders for pumpkin rolls. Orders are due by Nov. 14 and will be available for pickup on Nov. 21 from 3-5 p.m. Call 570-640-5261 for more information and prices. You can also call the church office, 570-668-4570, Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Pottsville Christian Women’s Club is sponsoring a luncheon on Nov 16 at 11:30 a.m. Speaker is Marilou Johnson of Lock Haven, special feature of Mary Kay products by Karla Felty and music by Laura Costa. American Primitive

Sunday worship service is at 10:30 a.m. at American Primitive Methodist Church. The service is available at www.tamaquachurch.org and www.facebook.com/PMChurchTamaqua.

There will be no Sunday school until further notice.

Zion Lewistown

Pastor Jim Williams will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. service this Sunday at Zion Church, Lewistown Valley.

Calvary Lewistown

Pastor Ralph Saunders will preside at the 10:25 a.m. worship service in Calvary Evangelical United Methodist Church, Lewistown Valley. Sunday school classes are scheduled for 9:15 a.m. and evening praise service at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday evening prayer meeting at 7 p.m.

Upcoming events: Community Choir Patriotic Concert to honor Veterans Day on Nov. 13 at 6:30 p.m.; Annual Harvest Home food gathering on Nov. 21 at the 10:25 a.m. service. Please have your nonperishable food at the church by Nov. 16.
