State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating a reported shooting incident at the Schuylkill Vocational Technical School-South Campus, at 15 Maple Ave., in Norwegian Township.

Troopers said on Wednesday at 9:20 a.m. they responded to the school for a report of rumors concerning a school shooting. After a thorough investigation it was determined that no such threat existed and no threat was made to the school or anyone else.

There is no threat to the school or community regarding the rumors, troopers said. Parents, students and staff were made aware of the incident by school administration.
