November 3, 1975 - Lansford holds Yogi Berra Day with the Hall of Fame catcher receiving a parade in his honor. A ceremony is also held at the Panther Valley High School Stadium, where Berra is presented a traditional “Key to the City” by Mayor Len Fredericks. Berra also receives a coveted coal piece designating Yogi Berra Day by Coaldale Mayor Ron Plocinik. Plenty of Little Leaguers attend the event, and Berra gives personally autographed baseballs to each member of the four all-star teams from Lansford, Coaldale, Nesquehoning and Summit Hill that participated in the the PV tournament during the summer.
