State police at Frackville are investigating a burglary attempt that was reported to them at 7:34 p.m. Oct. 27.

A Barnesville couple reported damage to the outside of their residence at Fifth Avenue and Chestnut Street. Police said the damage indicated forced entry was attempted but not successful.

Damages to the window was estimated at $250.
