Dear Editor,

Being a lifelong Carbon County resident and someone who has worked in various fields since the age of 14, I never thought the world of politics would come knocking at my door. It was only after the opportunity presented itself to me that I saw the possibilities to use the skill set that I had acquired over the past decades, not as a politician, but as a citizen willing to work to make a difference in the community.

I see that very same quality in Sydney Wernett. I don’t believe that Sydney has aspired to enter the world of politics, but to enter a world sometimes consumed by politics and to do the right thing in spite of it. She has built an impressive resume and has acquired her own set of skills that make her uniquely qualified to be the Carbon County Clerk of Courts. If you want someone with the determination and the knowledge it takes to “right the ship” and to bring back respect and honor to the Carbon County Clerk of Courts office, I humbly ask that you vote Sydney Wernett our next Clerk of Courts on Nov. 2.
