I am proud to support Sydney Wernett for Clerk of Courts! I am one of the numerous Republican elected officials who are supporting her candidacy. Sydney has the requisite education, experience, temperament and leadership skills to effectively manage the Clerk of Courts Office.

I cannot in good conscience as controller and a permanent member of the salary board, support her opponent who has sought double-digit salary increases for her staff on more than one occasion. In addition, the Clerk of Courts Office under the present administration has experienced the highest employee turnover of any row office! These two facts alone should be enough to give pause to consider the viable alternative of Sydney Wernett.

I am confident that the Clerk of Courts Office under Sydney’s leadership will once again become an effective and efficiently run office and be respected within and outside Carbon County.
