More information on tonight’s paranormal event

The Lansford Historical Society is holding their one-night only “Paranormal Panther Valley Evening” tonight with basic tours running from 7 to 8 p.m. and VIP tours right before that from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Investigators from Paranormal Sightings will participate in ghost hunting and story-telling activities.

Guest Author David A. Wargo will share cemetery ghost stories in Grand Army Cemetery in Summit Hill as part of the VIP tour that will be $30 as opposed to the $15 price for the basic investigations.

This annual event is to raise money for the cemetery’s stone restoration program but this year, the money will also help the Lansford Historical Society as well.

Both tours include two investigations at the Old Welsh Church and Hauto Tunnel.

To purchase last-minute tickets, go to Facebook’s event pages and search for “Lansford Historical Society Presents... A Paranormal Panther Valley Evening” or contact President of GAR Cemetary David Wargo at 570-657-0792.

Additionally, on Halloween night, according to the GAR’s official press release, “On Sunday, Halloween night, Wargo will offer a special “Evening of Ghost Stories” at 9 p.m. in and around the GAR Cemetery where guests will walk among the cemeteries and hear the ghost stories and folklore from the hilltop community. This event will last about 90 minutes.”
