A Nesquehoning woman was sentenced for not paying for a fireplace TV stand, Samsung TV and an Xbox One X from Rent A Center.
Common Pleas Judge Jacqueline Russell ordered Betty Dolly, 49, to 6 to 23 months electronic monitoring, costs of prosecution and other associated amounts. She is required to pay in full the money necessary to be in the electronic monitoring program before beginning her sentence, which is effective Nov. 8. Dolly is required to pay $3,614.07, the amount of the items from Rent A Center. Obtaining mental health treatment is also required.
Violating the terms of the electronic monitoring will result in Dolly serving the remainder of the sentence in the Schuylkill County Prison. She had pleaded guilty to theft of leased property and receiving stolen property.
The Rush Township Police Department attempted to call Dolly several times about her 30 day past due amount after the company contacted police.
