October 25, 1973 - Lehighton’s Kevin Koch places third in the District 11 Class B cross country race at Southern Lehigh to help the Indians team finish in second place. Koch crosses the line in 12:56, eight seconds behind the winning time of 12:48 by Jim Weber of Palisades. The Tribe’s Rich Hunsicker turns in a 13:06 to finish sixth, with Gary Schleicher (12th) and Steve Green (13th) also placing in the top 15. Blue Mountain takes the team title with 43 points to Lehighton’s 56. Slatington receives a top-10 finish from Keith Kibler, who comes in seventh.
