The Tamaqua Empty Bowl Online Soup Sale ends Sunday. Nine soups from area churches and restaurant have been available to order during the month of October.

Remaining soups can be ordered at the Tamaqua area Faith Fellowship Network Facebook page.

The soups will be picked up Oct. 30 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. from the bottom floor of Trinity United Church of Christ at 22 Lafayette St. in Tamaqua.

In addition to a quart soup of their choice, participants will receive raffle tickets good for gift certificates to Tamaqua area restaurants and food businesses and they have the option of selecting a handcrafted ceramic bowl while supplies last.

The sale and raffle benefit Tamaqua’s food pantries at the American Primitive Methodist Church and Trinity United Church of Christ.

The Tamaqua Hunger Campaign has been a monthlong event sponsored by the TAFFN under the umbrella of the Tamaqua Area Community Partnership.

The campaign ends with the Tamaqua Hunger Walk on Oct. 31, beginning at 2 p.m. from the Tamaqua Community art Center. Registration for the walk begins at 1:30 p.m.
