Marian graduate Mike Baloga was recently named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East Special Teams Player of the Week.

The former Colt is a kicker for Bloomsburg University and helped the Huskies post a 44-0 victory over Lock Haven last Saturday.

The freshman was a perfect 5-for-5 in extra points as he kicked in less than ideal conditions with strong winds and heavy rain at times. Baloga added a 25-yard field goal to his resume as he had a hand in six of the seven Bloomsburg scoring drives.

Baloga kicked a 47-year field goal last season at Marian, which is tied for the longest field goal in Times News history.

The Huskies are currently 2-5 and host ESU this weekend.
