State police at Lehighton barracks are charging a 28-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man, both from Lansford, following a traffic stop. Police did not release their names.

Police said they stopped the 2008 BMW 11:21 a.m. Oct. 11 along Lehigh Drive in Lower Towamensing Township for violations.

Police said the driver of the vehicle will be charged with driving under the influence and the passenger was found to be in possession of a firearm without a license to carry it.

Suspected marijuana and paraphernalia were also found in the car.
