October 18, 1986 - Northwestern’s Jason Hlavac opens the game with a kickoff return for a touchdown, and the Tigers also receive two long scoring passes in a 33-7 victory over Salisbury. Hlavac breaks free for an 83-yard return to give his team an early lead. The advantage grows after Dave McCann connects with George Hlavac on a 62-yard TD toss. The winners, coached by Bob Mitchell, also complete a 63-yard scoring strike when punter Brian Good picks up a snap that went over his head and throws the ball to Eric Dalius, who catches it and races to the end zone.
