The Walnutport Borough Council took the following action on Thursday:

• Agreed to pay JB Roofing Systems LLC $4,746 for the remainder of the maintenance building roof project.

• Approved an employee training statement for MS4 and borough employees pending approval by Teamsters.

• Announced that the Walnutport Recreation Board’s Paint and Sip event will be held at 1 p.m. on Oct. 23.

• Announced that trick or treat will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 27.

• Announced that the Northern Lehigh Halloween Parade will be held on Oct. 30, with the rain date set for Oct. 31.

• Announced that the fifth annual Tree Lighting/Adopt a Tree event will be held on Dec. 4.
