State police at Fern Ridge - crashes

State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers.

• A three-vehicle, rear-end crash, was reported at 2:34 p.m. on Sept. 25 along Route 715 in Jackson Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said a 2003 Hyundai Elantra, driven by Morgan I. Jacobs, 37, of Saylorsburg, rear-ended a 2013 Hyundai Tucson driven by Jessica A. Balbuena, 48, of Kunkletown, pushing it into the rear of a 2017 Nissan Frontier driven by Thomas R. Garner, 45, of Hamburg. No one was injured. Troopers cited Jacobs for following too closely.

• A two-vehicle crash occurred at 9:07 p.m. on Sept. 8 along Sugar Hollow Road in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.

Troopers identified the drivers as James T. Adams, 63, of Stroudsburg, driving a 2008 GMC Envoy, and Oneika U. Austin, 41, of Effort, driving a 2017 Toyota Rav4. Troopers gave no other details of the crash. Adams and Austin were taken by West End ambulance to St. Luke’s Hospital in Bartonsville, troopers indicated.

• Another crash was reported on Sugar Hollow Road on Sept. 16 at 12:15 p.m. Drivers involved were identified by as Kathy A. Barnett, 63, of Binghamton, New York, driving a 2012 Chrysler Town & Country van, and Lloyd A. McKenzie, 68, of Blakeslee, driving a 2018 Hyundai Elantra.

No details of the crash were given, but troopers said both drivers and a passenger with Barnett, Sandra Berry, 72, of Binghamton, refused medical treatment.
