Upon first glance, its décor may resemble that of a factory warehouse-type setting.

Which is exactly what distinguishes Revolution Styling Factory in Walnutport from its contemporaries.

The hair salon business at 350 S. Best Ave. has recently expanded to add square footage, new services and discounts, said owner Gina Heffner.

Heffner said that includes six hair stations; two pedicure and two manicure stations; a massage therapy room; along with additional space.

She said the shop offered discounts on all of its services today and Friday (which marked the first day of its expansion), and added that a free gift was given out to each client.

“We welcome every family member,” Heffner said. “The community has been very welcoming and kind.”

Heffner explained the ability to best meet the needs of its customers is what necessitated the shop’s expansion.

“With the growth of our business, we were finding there were times that we were overbooked and wanting to accommodate all of those clients,” she said. “We like the fact that we look different from most.”

Open since 2007, Heffner said the business initially broadened in 2012, when it doubled in size.

She said the business is a family-friendly, full-service salon that offers hair, nails, tanning, massage and facial services and more.

Heffner added the shop, which has 12 employees, also offers on-site wedding services.

The shop is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. It’s closed on Sunday. To schedule an appointment, call 610-760-2333. Heffner noted the business also has a sister location on Lehigh Street in Whitehall.
