State police at Frackville reported on the following arrests made by troopers.

• On Sept. 27 at 9:30 a.m. troopers responded to the area of the unit block of Valley Street, in New Philadelphia, for a report of a wanted man.

The man was found and taken into custody. He was found in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. He was identified as Shawn Tobin, 35, of Middleport. Charges to be filed.

• Troopers said on Oct. 1 at 4:42 p.m., troopers located Steven Robert Melsom, 25, last known address Motel 6, Frackville, at the Trac6 Gas Station in Mahanoy City.

Melsom had four bench warrants issued for his arrest out of Schuylkill County, including a felony case.

He was taken to the county prison in Pottsville on the warrants.

• On Sunday at 6:19 a.m. troopers responded to Grier Avenue at Bernhard Road, in Delano Township, for a welfare check of a white man lying next to his vehicle unresponsive.

The man was identified as Arthur Frye Jr., 27, of Barnesville. A further investigation resulted in Frye being under the influence of alcohol and he was taken into custody.

He was charged with DUI.
