Dean Krcic, a Pleasant Valley graduate and current kicker/punter for Kutztown University, was recently named the PSAC Football Special Teams Athlete of the Week.

Krcic had a big impact on the field position game in Saturday’s 34-7 victory over Bloomsburg.

A former all-conference selection, Krcic punted six times for 264 yards, averaging 44.0 yards per boot. He had a long of 57 yards and placed two of his kicks inside the Bloomsburg 20-yard line.

On kickoffs, the former Bears player registered two touchbacks on six attempts.

This honor marked the fourth of Krcic’s career and first since Oct. 14, 2019. The Saylorsburg native is a two-time All-PSAC East selection (2017, 2018) and was a 2017 Don Hansen Gazette All-Region pick. For the season, Krcic is averaging 43.2 yards per punt across 22 attempts, while 10 of his 30 kickoffs have gone for touchbacks.
