Conservation Club

The Nesquehoning Conservation Club held its monthly meeting on Oct. 6.

The meeting was brought to order by Bob Dunstan, secretary.

The club is looking for an indoor facility to hold its winter meetings.

There will be no November meeting. The next conservation club meeting will be held on Dec. 1, location to be determined.

Panther Valley Senior Center

The menu at the Panther Valley Senior Center for the week of Oct. 18-22 is as follows:

Monday: No meal

Tuesday: Garlic chicken, red potatoes, lemon broccoli, pudding or chicken salad on bagel

Wednesday: Swiss steak, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, fruit cocktail or chef salad with chicken

Thursday: Sweet and sour chicken, brown rice, stir fry vegetables, orange or ham and cheddar sandwich

Friday: Barbecue riblet, mac and cheese, vegetables, melon or shrimp Caesar salad

The center has also announced upcoming events through the end of the month.

Bingo on Oct. 15 at 10:45 a.m.

Horseracing on Oct. 18 at 11 a.m.; Lottery Bingo on Oct. 19 at 10:45 a.m.; Po-Keeno on Oct. 20 at 11 a.m.; Bingo on Oct. 21 at 10:45 a.m.; Fraud Bingo with the Department of Banking, Fraud and Securities.

Movie and Popcorn on Oct. 25 at 10 a.m.; Bingo on Oct. 26 at 10:45 a.m.; Shut The Box on Oct. 27 at 11 a.m.; Game Day on Oct. 28 at 11 a.m.; Halloween Party on Oct. 29 at 10:30 a.m.

Pool, Cards, Games and Socialization available every day. New members always welcome.
