The Carbon County Commissioners approved the following personnel items during their weekly meeting on Thursday:
• Resignations: Jordan M. Boyer of Palmerton, corrections officer, effective Oct. 18; and Megan L. Veen of Tamaqua, 911 operator, effective Oct. 29.
• Hire as recommended by department supervisor: Kara M. Beck of Hellertown, full-time assistant public defender, effective Oct. 8.
• Changes of status: Scott R. Pompa of Jim Thorpe, from part-time parking/meter technician to acting parking administrator/senior technician, effective Oct. 8; Heather N. Brown of Lehighton, from caseworker to administrator trainee, PCWDA, effective Oct. 11; Tina Fink of Lehighton, from live scan operator/corrections clerk to administrative assistant/records, corrections, effective Oct. 11; Coren Kintz of Jim Thorpe, from secretary III to administrative assistant, commissioners’ office, effective Oct. 11; and Samantha J. Patten of Allentown, from county caseworker I to county caseworker II, Children and Youth, effective Oct. 18.
