State police at Bethlehem reported investigating a one-vehicle crash at 4:32 p.m. on Sept. 23 along Old Post Road in North Whitehall Township, Lehigh County. Troopers said Michael W. Belcher, 41, of Walnutport, was driving a 2014 Subaru Impreza southbound and approached a right curve in the road. He attempted to negotiate the curve, traveled onto the berm and his vehicle struck mailboxes. The vehicle continued southbound, hitting a telephone pole.

The vehicle continued until it came to rest in a soybean field.

Belcher refused medical treatment and the vehicle had to be towed.

He was cited for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.
