Towamensing Township supervisors took the following action on Thursday:

• Received a $200 donation from the Towamensing Township Historical Commission’s account for the Greenzweig School.

• Tabled a letter from the Service Team regarding fencing at the soccer field.

• Agreed to raise the cost of the tire disposal rate to $8 a tire.

• Granted permission to the Towamensing Township Fire Department fire police to assist at the Palmerton Halloween Parade on Oct. 17, with the rain date of Oct. 18.

• Granted permission to the Towamensing Township Fire Department fire police to assist at the Bo Tkach Turkey Trot 5K Race in Palmerton on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25.

• Announced that trick-or-treat night will be held from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 30.
