State police at Lehighton

State police at Lehighton reported on several incidents:

• On Sept. 30 at 9:43 p.m. troopers responded to Interchange Road in Towamensing Township, Carbon County, for a report of an assault. As a result Glen Brantley, 42, of Lehighton, was cited for harassment - physical contact. The listed victim is a 52-year-old man from Lehighton.

• On Sept. 26 at 6:22 p.m. troopers responded to the area of 2230 Fireline Road, Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County, for a report of a simple assault incident. The victim, a 34-year-old woman from Lehighton, showed signs of bodily injury. The suspect, identified as Michael Halulko, 33, of Palmerton, had left the scene before police arrived.

Police said charges were subsequently filed against Halulko for simple assault - bodily injury.

• On Thursday at 2:53 a.m. troopers responded to Summer Mountain Road at Spruce Hollow Road in Lower Towamensing Township. Police said a 48-year-old man from Palmerton, who troopers declined to identify, was under the influence of a controlled substance and in possession of controlled substances. Charges will be filed.

• On Sept. 21 at 5:30 p.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt at Franklin Avenue at Church Street, in Palmerton, for traffic violations. The driver, a 28-year-old man from Lehighton, who troopers declined to identify, was found to be under the influence and in possession of controlled substances.
